Happy Sunday! Hope this finds everyone well. Our week was a bit of a blur. As you may remember, Kim left early last Sunday morning for Atlantic City. She made the 600+ mile drive with two coworkers. Construction and other problems led to a 12 hour drive on the way there, so Kim was really pleased they made the return trip in "only" 10 hours on Wednesday! The conference was really interesting (it was about new technologies and how they can be used in higher education), so it was a worthwhile adventure.
While Kim was gone, Eric held down the fort at home. He helped our friend Mike move an elliptical from the basement at his in-laws' house to the first floor of his house. The good news is they went to dinner afterwards so Eric didn't eat Twix bars and cereal the entire time Kim was gone!
On Thursday night, we headed back to the outdoor amphitheatre for another concert. This time it was "Bad Medicine", a cover band for -- you guessed it -- Bon Jovi. We had an absolute blast as the weather was great, we were with a bunch of fun people from Kim's office, and the band was really good. We were a bit horse from singing along with all the songs, but I guess that's a risk you have to be willing to take!
We had a date night on Friday, but unfortunately Eric wasn't feeling too well by the we left. (Hopefully it wasn't because of the company!). He went to bed shortly after we got home and slept til 11:30 on Saturday. While he was sleeping, Kim read The Nanny Diaries. Good book! Saturday night, we met up with our friends Miller and Erin and went bowling. Eric won one game, and Kim placed second twice. Not too shabby! Today, Kim met up with her friends Barbi and Erin for lunch while Eric went to see The Dark Knight.
This week looks like it will be a busy one...and it's hard to believe it will be August. Where is the time going?!
Current gas price: $3.52/gallon. Woo!
