June already?! Where did the spring go?

It's been a busy week here. Let's see if we can actually remember all we've been up to!

On Thursday, we went to a Rolling Stones tribute band concert at a local outdoor pavilion. A few of Kim's office friends went, along with some other people we hadn't met. Of course, the other people in our group turned out to be HUGE Stones fans, and they kept commenting how good/realistic the band was. Since we've never seen the real Stones in concert, we just took their word for it! It was a gorgeous night to be at an open air concert, and I have a feeling we'll try and make it to another concert there soon!

Our friends Mike and Katie invited us to a BBQ at their new house on Friday, so we hung out there most of the night. We were excited to spend some time with them, along with our friend Owen who has been working nonstop for the Dragons all month! Mike is originally from Chicago, so we ended up with a Chicago-themed dinner, complete with Chicago hot dogs, deep dish pizza and ribs. It was delicious! And just when you think it can't get any better, we also made smores!

This weekend has been full of random chores and errands. Unfortunately, the pollen count here is really high and it was also pretty muggy...so neither one of us feels too great. Hopefully we'll actually get the rain they're predicting for this week to relieve some of those issues! Anyway, we both got haircuts yesterday (Eric's looks the same - just shorter. Kim's is a shorter summer haircut -- about halfway between her chin and shoulders.) Today we took Peanut to the bark park, and he had the best time. Since the weather was so nice today, there were lots of friends there for him to play with. And wouldn't you know it - he slept the whole car ride home! Now we're working up the energy to mow the lawn so we can put fertilizer down.

Today's gas price per gallon: $3.94.
