Yesterday we cleaned the house and got another load ready for Goodwill - hopefully this is the last batch! The closets are cleaned out, and now we just need to organize, organize, organize.
Today Eric worked on adding a new flower bed in the backyard. He got half way done before it got too hot to do anything else - hopefully we can finish up later this week. Then we made a trek to a locally-owned furniture store and found a crib! It met all of our criteria, was convertible, was in a color we liked and was on sale - sold! Now we just have to wait eons for it to come in - good thing we don't need it for awhile!
Tonight, we went over to our friends for a cookout, and we enjoyed playing cornhole, grilling out and just relaxing. Once the sun went down, it was a really nice evening!
Baby is 6 inches long (maybe the picture should be a Subway sandwich?) and weighs a little over half a pound (though I've definitely put on more than that!). Baby's also covered in a waxy substance that will keep it from turning into a prune for the remainder of this 9 month bath, and the brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch.

lovin' the crib...can't wait to see pics of the nursery all put together when furniture eventually arrives. what color are the walls? any theme to the decor?
We're keeping the walls the French blue that they currently are, and will accent with different colors depending on the baby's sex (probably pink/yellow for a girl and navy/orange for a boy). No theme yet...we'll be sure to post pictures as it starts taking shape!
